Quality Control for Translations
  1. Read through the document first to make sure you understand the content.
  2. Find all the unfamiliar words and add them to the client's glossary.
  3. Do the translation.
  4. Check the translation against the original sentence by sentence.
  5. Read the translation to see if it sounds natural in the target language.
  6. Run a spell check.
  7. Double check numbers and dates (check if the numbers in the translation are the same as those in the original document, decimal points vs. commas, measures, etc).
  8. Proofread the translation for a last time.
  9. Make sure the translation is in the required format and delivered on time.
  10. Send the translation.
  11. Request confirmation of receipt from your client.
