Translation Services

Tips for Buying Translation Services

  1. Define the subject of the document.
  2. Specify the source and the target language.
  3. Determine the length of the document.
  4. Clearly mark the sections that the translator should translate if it is an update.
  5. Provide glossaries or previous translations if available.
  6. Provide the contact information of a resource person (preferably the author).
  7. Advise the translator in advance if you expect to have a rush job.
  8. Set a deadline for delivery (the translator can guide you as to the time required).

Try not to rush your translation project. Some companies spend weeks writing a document and then expect it to be translated into another language in a few days.
